Weimar tiene ya en circulación Dancing On a Volcano, su álbum debut, el cual llevó a Aidan Cross (The Bacillus, Black Light Mutants), John Armstrong (The Speed Of Sound), Anthony ‘Eddy’ Edwards (The Deceased, y Stephen Sarsen (Frank Is Dead, Playground), en un proceso creativo de aproximadamente tres años, luego de debutar con John Doe / Curse the Songs, seguidos por Marvel To The State / Undesirable Master, siguiendo ésta tendencia a principios de éste 2022, llegando a nuestra audiencia con The Girls of LA y su Lado B, Transatlantic Confusion, dando paso a Soho Rain, primer sencillo de éste disco, el cual es sucedido por un nuevo tema, promocional que cuenta con la colaboración de Loop-Aznavour, integrante de Adventures of Salvador, y que junto con el disco, se encuentra disponible digitalmente, vía German Shepherd Records, en plataformas como Spotify, Apple Music, y Bandcamp, mientras que el CD está disponible directamente con la banda, dando CLICK AQUÍ.

I Smashed The Looking Glass es el Jamais Vu que experimentas cuando rompes con aquello que te mantenía lejos del piso, de manera tal que, al romper el paradigma social que significa la pretensión de celebridad, tan común en tiempos de medios colectivos y pastiches, por obligación encaras situaciones de las cuales permaneciste alienado.

Thematically, this song is a response to Kraftwerk’s classic ‘The Hall Of Mirrors’, which explored how an artist’s true self is distorted and eventually lost in the creation of an ideal persona. ‘I Smashed The Looking Glass’ is it’s spiritual sequel, exploring the artist’s escape from the trappings of such a persona, a significant challenge in an age of cult icons and social media performity.
Temáticamente, esta canción es una respuesta al clásico ‘The Hall Of Mirrors’ de Kraftwerk, que exploró cómo el verdadero yo de un artista se distorsiona y finalmente se pierde en la creación de una personalidad ideal. ‘I Smashed The Looking Glass’ es su secuela espiritual, que explora el escape del artista de las trampas de tal personaje, un desafío significativo en una era de íconos de culto y desempeño en las redes sociales.
