The Persian Leaps es una banda que en 2020 llegara a nuestra audiencia con motivo de la promoción de su Smiling Lessons EP, del cual presentamos Lost Cause y Your Loss, siguiendo en 2021 con Drone Etiquette, su más reciente LP, del cual se desprendieron los sencillos When This Gets Out y Sweeps, siguiendo su trabajo en éste 2022 con el próximo Machines for Living EP, el cual llegará vía Land Ski Records, y cuya carta de presentación es Maybe Time Will Let Me Forget, un cover a The Coachmen que, detrás de ésta realización, tiene una historia bastante personal, el cual ya está disponible en Bandcamp, mientras que en Octubre 7, el EP será lanzado en todas las plataformas digitales como Apple Music, Spotify, y Bandcamp.

Maybe Time Will Let Me Forget es la respuesta a aquellas situaciones que derivan en dilemas y cuestionamientos que, innecesariamente, te asaltan robando tu tranquilidad por lo que, si bien es necesario dejar las cosas por la paz, es preciso dejar de lado el apremio y esperar a que todo se acomode en su lugar, especialmente aquello que pertenece al olvido.

My uncle, Jon Asher, was lifelong best friends with the folk/rock superstar Dan Fogelberg until Dan passed away in 2007. In the mid-1960s, as teenagers, they had a band in Peoria, IL called The Coachmen. They were successful locally and opened up for touring bands like The Who and The Hollies. Their only recorded output was a 45 released on Ledger Records in 1967. ‘Maybe Time Will Let Me Forget’ was the A-side. I listened to it often when I was growing up. It was inspiring to have an uncle who had released a record – it gave me hope that I could do it myself someday.
Mi tío, Jon Asher, fue el mejor amigo de toda la vida de la superestrella del folk/rock Dan Fogelberg hasta que Dan falleció en 2007. A mediados de la década de 1960, cuando eran adolescentes, tenían una banda en Peoria, IL, llamada The Coachmen. Tuvieron éxito a nivel local y abrieron para bandas como The Who y The Hollies. Su única producción grabada fue un 45 publicado en Ledger Records en 1967. ‘Maybe Time Will Let Me Forget’ fue el Lado A. Lo escuchaba a menudo cuando era niño. Fue inspirador tener un tío que había lanzado un disco; me dio la esperanza de poder hacerlo yo mismo algún día.
