Beauty In Chaos es una banda que ha mantenido una constante producción creativa desde que llegaran a nuestra audiencia con Storm, la cual se pone de manifiesto con álbumes como Finding Beauty in Chaos (2018), Beauty Re-Envisioned (2019), The Storm Before The Calm, y Out Of Chaos Comes… (2020), teniendo en éste 2022 el lanzamiento simultáneo de Behind The Veil, y su reflejo remezclado, Further Behind The Veil, de manera tal que, así como nos presentaron Orion, tema ejecutado por Whitney Tai, The Kiss of The World a cargo de Elena Alice Fossi, y Grasp The Stars, con la excelente colaboración vocal de Betsy Martin, ahora es el momento de Tish Ciravolo para mostrarnos su faceta como cantante, en un sencillo que viene acompañado por un revelador vídeo que se encuentra ya disponible en todas las plataformas digitales, especialmente Bandcamp.

Afterlife es el entendimiento respecto al momento en el cual se te revela que aún tienes respuestas por encontrar y misterios por develar, de manera tal que, si bien comprendes que has llegado al límite de tu resistencia física, aceptas el regalo que la vida te tiene más allá de lo que creías era tu final.

Trying to capture a near-death experience in a song is an experience that I never knew I would be able to creatively achieve. Sharing a solo imagery, a solo experience, something that only I had seen in my mind’s eye, then conveying that through lyrics that made sense was my heavenly assignment. Then, trying to explain that cataclysm, that crescendo to a filmmaker to help capture those moments was the crux.
Tratar de capturar una experiencia cercana a la muerte en una canción es una experiencia que nunca supe que sería capaz de lograr creativamente. Compartir una imagen en solitario, una experiencia en solitario, algo que solo yo había visto en mi mente, y luego transmitir eso a través de letras que tuvieran sentido era mi misión celestial. This video brings my own experience between Heaven and Hell and brought out that light, that extremely beautiful contrast, the emotional pull of those few moments between life and death, like I could never have dreamed or imagined.

When the music to this track started to come together in the studio, before any lyrics, I knew this would be the album’s lead-off ‘needle drop’ song. It just felt right. The track has a sort of non-traditional arrangement. I thought it would be a bit challenging for most singers. I loved what my wife had done on ‘Lookup”’ putting herself into the lyrics, yet having a message of hope.
Cuando la música de esta canción comenzó a formarse en el estudio, antes que cualquier letra, supe que esta sería la canción inicial del álbum. Se sentía bien. La pista tiene una especie de arreglo no tradicional. Pensé que sería un poco desafiante para la mayoría de los cantantes. Me encantó lo que mi esposa había hecho en ‘Lookup’, poniéndose ella misma en la letra, pero con un mensaje de esperanza.

When Michael Rozon and I heard what she did with the track … turning it into a song, we were both ecstatic. I usually go with my first instinct on things, and, to me, ‘Afterlife’ is the perfect opener for this album. It sets a mood I wanted, and Michael Rozon’s production is second to none.
Cuando Michael Rozon y yo escuchamos lo que ella hizo con la pista… convirtiéndola en una canción, ambos estábamos extasiados. Por lo general, sigo mi primer instinto en las cosas y, para mí, ‘Afterlife’ es la apertura perfecta para este álbum.
