Black Nite Crash es la banda formada en Seattle hace 20 años, en la cual han circulado una treintena de integrantes alrededor de Jim Biggs, único miembro fundador que permanece de aquella alineación original y que, con la premisa de hacer algo diferente a las hordas de Radiohead wannabes que pululan por el mundo, actualmente se complementa con John Parker, James Stone, Tony Zuniga, y Claire Tucker, llegando a nuestra audiencia para anunciar la llegada de Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash, su nuevo larga duración, presentando el primer sencillo y tema que abre éste disco, el cual se encuentra disponible en plataformas como Apple Music, Spotify, y Bandcamp, mientras que el LP llegará en Octubre 14 a través del sello Neon Sigh.

The Take es el golpe de timón que se da cuando encuentras que no te encuentras en la relación ni en la otra persona, así que, haciendo de tripas corazón, cierras el capítulo para continuar tu propio camino, por tu cuenta, antes de que la situación se torne desagradable.

This album was started before the pandemic and then endlessly delayed until now, which speaks to the perseverance of the band. This is the band’s fifth full length in nearly twenty years of existence, and it looks to be the start of a period of more frequent releases as we work through our backlog of unreleased recorded songs, not to mention the surplus of new material we’re working on even now.
Este álbum se inició antes de la pandemia y luego se retrasó infinitamente hasta ahora, lo que habla de la perseverancia de la banda. Este es el quinto larga duración de la banda en casi veinte años de existencia, y parece ser el comienzo de un período de lanzamientos más frecuentes a medida que trabajamos con nuestra acumulación de canciones grabadas inéditas, sin mencionar la cantidad de material nuevo que estamos trabajando incluso ahora.

After a long career of creating fuzzed out noise pop with wall of sound guitars somewhere between psychedelia and shoegaze, we’re branching out into more subtle dynamics and stretching our sound to include different stylistic flourishes – everything from Murder Ballads to Baggy pop tunes. There’s also something about it that sounds like the wide open west; for a band that lives in the soggy Pacific Northwest, the sound of the desert has long seemed to haunt our music (to be fair, the band, as constituted on this release includes Tony and Sharim, both from Las Vegas and Jasun is from Arizona). All of that being said, we are not completely abandoning our fuzzy pop tunes.
Después de una larga carrera de crear noise pop confuso con un muro sonoro de guitarras en algún lugar entre la psicodelia y el shoegaze, nos estamos diversificando hacia dinámicas más sutiles y ampliando nuestro sonido para incluir diferentes florituras estilísticas, desde Murder Ballads hasta Baggy pop. También hay algo al respecto que suena como el oeste abierto de par en par; para una banda que vive en el empapado noroeste del Pacífico, el sonido del desierto ha parecido perseguir nuestra música durante mucho tiempo (para ser justos, la banda, tal como está constituida en este lanzamiento, incluye a Tony y Sharim, ambos de Las Vegas y Jasun es de Arizona ). Dicho todo esto, no estamos abandonando por completo nuestras melodías pop difusas.
