PTSD es la descripción de aquello que experimentas cuando una situación violenta se fija en tu mente como circunstancia que, de a poco y sin darte cuenta, marca tu conducta y hábitos, desconectándote de la realidad de una manera tan gradual que un día ya no es suficiente con esforzarte y echarle ganas porque el mundo, tu cotidianeidad son tan diferentes que no hay mayor salida que apartarte de todo, incluso de ti.

This new track was primarily written about my experience of being diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and what it is like to live with it. I’ve survived SA, homelessness, DV, attempted homicide, and two near fatal illnesses. Though I’ve written about what I’ve gone through, this song is for everyone who has experienced or is experiencing trauma. I deeply empathize with anyone dealing with it.
Esta nueva canción se escribió, principalmente, sobre mi experiencia de ser diagnosticada con PTSD (trastorno de estrés postraumático) y cómo es vivir con ello. He sobrevivido al abuso de sustancias, la falta de vivienda, violencia doméstica, intento de homicidio y dos enfermedades casi fatales. Aunque he escrito sobre lo que he pasado, esta canción es para todos los que han experimentado o están experimentando un trauma. Siento una profunda empatía con cualquiera que se enfrente a él.

During this pandemic, so many people have experienced intense heartbreak, loss, and other deeply traumatic experiences. I lost two of my friends, and I know many who have lost loved ones, friends, family members, co-workers, and people they saw in their daily lives; before the lockdowns happened.
Durante esta pandemia, muchas personas han experimentado una intensa angustia, pérdida y otras experiencias profundamente traumáticas. Perdí a dos de mis amigos y conozco a muchos que han perdido a seres queridos, amigos, familiares, compañeros de trabajo y personas que veían en su vida diaria; antes de que ocurrieran los cierres.
