Beauty In Chaos se encuentra en una etapa de transición luego de dar vida a Behind The Veil, álbum cuya particularidad reside en las voces femeninas que rodean a la banda, y su reflejo remezclado, Further Behind The Veil, por lo que tras relajar la creatividad haciendo su versión de Bloodletting (The Vampire Song), tema clásico de Concrete Blonde, regresan con un tema original donde la incorporación de nuestro buen amigo Julian Shah-Tayler se da de manera natural luego de un par de remezclas, colaborando de forma más que activa en vocales y letras, sumando al trabajo visual desarrollado por Michael Ciravolo, Vicente Cordero e Industrialism Films, redondeando la realización del vídeo promocional para éste nuevo sencillo, el cual cuenta con Pete Parada (Face To Face, The Offspring) en la batería y se encuentra ya disponible en Apple Music, Spotify, y Bandcamp.

Kiss Me (Goodbye) es el punto que pocas veces tenemos el valor de marcar, pues si bien se dice que la costumbre suele ser más fuerte que el amor, lo cierto es que el hábito como mero reflejo suele jugarnos malas pasadas, especialmente cuando la compañía de quien alguna vez fuese el objeto de tu afecto pareciera ser el infranqueable requisito para cumplir una agenda existencial de perfil genérico.

Julian had done a handful wonderful re-envisions for us over the last two albums, which lead me to listening to his fantastic solo work. I felt he had an entirely unique voice and captivation stage presence, so I jumped at the chance to work with him on a song!.
Julian había hecho un puñado de maravillosas revisiones para nosotros en los últimos dos álbumes, lo que me llevó a escuchar su fantástico trabajo en solitario. Sentí que tenía una voz completamente única y una presencia cautivadora en el escenario, ¡así que aproveché la oportunidad de trabajar con él en una canción!

Vicente has done so many of our videos, it is almost second-nature for us when filming. He is very aware of how adamant I am that each video is different from its predecessor. I was drawn to this video location, and just wanted to go in and have fun in the multiple ‘locations’ we had at our disposable there. And, of course in true BIC artistry, this is way different than the almost mini-movie script I handed Vicente for our latest single ‘Bloodletting’. It was Julian’s idea to weave in an ever so slight story line at the end.
Vicente ha hecho muchos de nuestros videos, es casi una segunda naturaleza para nosotros cuando filmamos. Él es muy consciente de lo inflexible que soy en que cada video sea diferente de su predecesor. Me atrajo esta ubicación de video, y solo quería entrar y divertirme en las múltiples «ubicaciones» que teníamos disponibles allí. Y, por supuesto, en el verdadero arte de BIC, esto es muy diferente al guión de casi una mini película que le entregué a Vicente para nuestro último sencillo ‘Bloodletting’. Fue idea de Julian tejer una historia muy ligera al final.

I’m honoured to collaborate with Michael on this excellent song. I loved the track from first listen and found it meshed perfectly with my aesthetic. Romantic and slightly dark, without straying too far into the irretrievable goth realm.
Me siento honrado de colaborar con Michael en esta excelente canción. Me encantó la canción desde la primera escucha y descubrí que encajaba perfectamente con mi estética. Romántico y ligeramente oscuro, sin adentrarse demasiado en el irrecuperable reino gótico.

We both decided we wanted it to be more than just a band-performance video. Since the lyrics are about the dissolution of a relationship, it felt appropriate to me to bring in the exquisite Eva Strangelove – burlesque dancer and my lissome love – to play the role of my temptress and heart wrecker in an improvised sci-fi Lynchian narrative of loss and rejection.
Ambos decidimos que queríamos que fuera algo más que un video de la presentación de una banda. Dado que la letra trata sobre la disolución de una relación, me pareció apropiado incorporar a la exquisita Eva Strangelove, bailarina de burlesque y mi flexible amor, para interpretar el papel de mi tentadora y rompecorazones en una narrativa Lynchiana de ciencia ficción improvisada de pérdida y rechazo.
