Cuando de pensar en una vida mejor se trata, la gente suele imaginar que no hay nada mejor que formar parte de la realeza pues, desde la cuna hasta la tumba, suelen tener todo asegurado sin mayor preocupación que la de verse bien en actos públicos y posar para la prensa en lujosas fiestas privadas.
Suena bien pero, la etiqueta como código de vida y riguroso criterio de observación como conducta puede llegar a ser algo agotador si no se tiene la disposición ni interés en ceder la voluntad para conducirse bajo tales directrices, es cómo la vida godín pero con un margen mucho menos estrecho ni horarios de entrada o salida.

«Victoria», la aclamada serie que retrata los primeros años de la reina británica, llega a Film&Arts
Con una espléndida recreación de la época, los episodios de esta serie que muestran la adolescencia, coronación y primeros años de la reina Victoria, se emitirán los jueves a partir del 30 de septiembre a las 22:00 horas.
Para finalizar septiembre, Film&Arts presenta “Victoria”, la serie protagonizada por Jenna Coleman que retrata la vida de la reina Victoria. Con tan solo 18 años, Victoria asume el trono y con ello una historia llena de logros, compromiso, amoríos y lucha continúa. “Victoria” llega a la pantalla los jueves a partir del 30 de septiembre a las 22:00 horas.
La vida de la joven Victoria, se transforma completamente cuando se convierte en reina. Ya no está escondida en el palacio Kensington y aunque su madre, la duquesa de Kent, confabulada con su consejero Conroy intentan reinar a través de ella, Victoria está determinada a ser independiente, aunque su inexperiencia la llevará a cometer errores e incluso le desatará algún escándalo.
Hija del príncipe Eduardo IV hijo del rey Jorge III, Victoria fue criada bajo la supervisión de su madre. A pesar de vivir en constante debate interno entre la inmadurez de su propia edad, Victoria no actúa solo con ímpetu, sino que tiene sus ideas sobre la vida monárquica, por lo que no pasará mucho tiempo para intentar influir en las decisiones políticas, convirtiéndose así en un ícono nacional con grandes valores férreos reflejo de la época en la que transcurre la historia.
El guion de Victoria es el primer trabajo como escritora de Daisy Goodwin, novelista y antigua productora de televisión, quien declaró en un prólogo sobre la serie: “Nunca había escrito un guion antes, pero había vivido con la voz de Victoria durante tanto tiempo que casi parecía que ella misma lo estaba escribiendo. Tampoco faltaba material para la trama: ahora miramos hacia atrás y pensamos en su reinado como una época de magnificencia osificada, pero cuando llegó al trono había muchas personas cercanas a ella, además de la nación en general que pensaban que con apenas metro y medio de estatura y un nombre que sonaba peculiar, esa joven no sería capaz de ser la soberana del país que se estaba convirtiendo rápidamente en la nación más poderosa del mundo”.
Victoria fue desarrollada por Rebecca Eaton y Damien Timmer, del equipo que produjo el drama de época Poldark. Además del protagónico de Jenna Louise Coleman (Doctor Who), el reparto de Victoria cuenta con Rufus Sewell (El ilusionista, Judy) como Lord Melbourne, Tom Hughes (Cruce de destinos) como el príncipe Alberto, David Oakes (Los Borgia) como Ernesto, y la actriz alemana Daniela Holtz (Phoenix) quien se encarga de dar vida a la baronesa Louise Lehzen, entre otros.
