Tombstones In Their Eyes es una banda cuya trayectoria, hasta el momento se resume en su álbum debut Sleep Forever, los EP’s Bad Clouds, Fear, Nothing Here, y el sencillo Shutting Down, de la cual te hemos presentado Always There, Shutting Down, Silhouette, Open Skies y su vídeo oficial, Maybe Someday y su vídeo oficial, y apenas el año pasado, Another Day, más al transformarse ahora de cuarteto a trío, tienen a bien recopilar éstos 5 años en Collection, retrospectiva que llega éste 27 de Noviembre a plataformas digitales vía Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, y en formato físico vía Somewherecold Records.

I Can’t See The Light 2020 Remaster es la necesidad de aliviar la carga a partir del desahogo y descargo de la frustración a partir de la aceptación de quienes somos, dónde estamos y, sobre todo, de que ésta situación no es sino algo pasajero, de lo cuál saldremos, apenas podamos dar un paso firme, de vuelta a la coherencia.

This is an extremely simple song and also our most popular, by far. It was written in the depths of depression and the lyrics showcase that state of mind. For years, I thought it was a really good song, and then one day it was picked up by the Netflix show ‘Chambers’, which got it out to a lot of people. It’s got what is probably a cliched loud-quiet-loud thing going on, but is so full of real emotion that hopefully it rises above the cliché! Simple as it is, I’m proud of it and glad that it seems to have touched a few people.
Esta es una canción extremadamente simple y también la más popular, por mucho. Fue escrita en las profundidades de la depresión y la letra muestra ese estado mental. Durante años, pensé que era una canción realmente buena, y luego, un día, el programa de Netflix ‘Chambers’ la escogió y la hizo llegar a mucha gente. Tiene lo que probablemente sea un cliché de ruido-silencio-ruido, pero está tan llena de emoción real que, con suerte, ¡se eleva por encima del cliché! Tan simple como es, estoy orgulloso de ella y me alegro de que parece haber tocado a algunas personas.

Collection is just that, a collection of our songs that we wanted to gather together and put out into the world, remastered (and in some cases remixed) in one nice package. We took the songs from our first record that most fit our sound, and gathered the other songs from our various EP’s and singles. Sometimes EP’s and singles don’t get the attention that albums do, and we wanted to give these songs that chance. Also, none of this material has ever been released on vinyl, so we wanted to rectify that. It’s basically the best of our back catalog in either a double LP or double CD format.
Collection es solo eso, una colección de nuestras canciones que queríamos reunir y lanzar al mundo, remasterizadas (y en algunos casos remezcladas) en un paquete agradable. Tomamos las canciones de nuestro primer disco que más se ajustaban a nuestro sonido y reunimos las otras canciones de nuestros diversos EP y sencillos. A veces, los EP y los sencillos no reciben la atención que reciben los álbumes, y queríamos darles esa oportunidad a estas canciones. Además, nada de este material ha sido lanzado en vinilo, así que queríamos rectificar eso. Básicamente es lo mejor de nuestro catálogo anterior en formato de doble LP o doble CD.
