ON es la conjunción creativa de Lucy Di Santo, Dan Cornelius, y Steve Fall, viejos conocidos de bandas como Acid Test, Danko Jones, y Rocket Science, así como de la desaparecida disquera mexicana, Opcion Sonica, con quienes editaran sus trabajos previos en formato cassette, hoy objeto de colección, más con el objetivo de anunciar la llegada de su albúm homónimo, ON, a editarse el próximo 20 de Septiembre, ya en preventa a través de indiestructablerecords.com, llegan a nuestra audiencia con el primer sencillo de éste material, ya disponible en todas las plataformas y Bandcamp, arrancando su Underdog Tour éste 18 de Agosto con fechas programadas para ciudades como Kingston, Ottawa, Baldwin, Toronto, Barrie, Paris, Niagara Falls, Cambridge, Hamilton y Londres.

Underdog es el principio de una historia de éxito que, justamente, comienza cuando decides que, si bien las tendencias e ideas del mundo van en contraposición a quien eres y lo que representas, es momento de sacudir el mundo de nueva cuenta, pues su perspectiva general es que ya no tienes nada más que ofrecer cuando, en realidad, deberían hacerse a un lado porque no tienes nada qué perder.

This record deals with where we are today and what we’ve overcome, persevering as a society and as individuals. I found myself as part of a genuinely authentic creative, human experience with Steve and Dan in various geographical locations including NYC, Florida and Toronto and felt the need to document it melodically. It’s about pain, hope, reframing and overcoming. It’s about survival. The songs are an authentic and complete collaboration of the triad and soul connection that is ON.
Este disco trata sobre dónde estamos hoy y lo que hemos superado, perseverando como sociedad y como individuos. Me encontré como parte de una experiencia humana creativa genuinamente auténtica con Steve y Dan en varias ubicaciones geográficas, incluidas Nueva York, Florida y Toronto, y sentí la necesidad de documentarla melódicamente. Se trata de dolor, esperanza, reformulación y superación. Se trata de supervivencia. Las canciones son una colaboración auténtica y completa de la tríada, y la conexión del alma que está ON.

Steve Fall

The three of us have been great friends for years and we have deep respect for each other‘s talents and songwriting abilities. We all decided to make some music in a rehearsal space in Manhattan when Steve n Lu were visiting Manhattan a couple years back. Instead of making it a one time thing, we had such a blast that we continued writing music online via video calls. As soon as there were opportunities to get together, we met up and, one by one, we started to chip away at the songs until we were happy.
Los tres hemos sido grandes amigos durante años y tenemos un profundo respeto por los talentos y las habilidades de composición de los demás. Todos decidimos hacer algo de música en un espacio de ensayo en Manhattan cuando Steve y Lu visitaron Manhattan hace un par de años. En lugar de hacerlo una sola vez, nos divertimos tanto que continuamos escribiendo música en línea a través de videollamadas. Tan pronto como hubo oportunidades para reunirnos, nos reunimos y, uno por uno, comenzamos a trabajar en las canciones hasta que nos sentimos felices.
